insidethegatesWe are glad to mark the new stage of our five-year-long cooperation with the Olga Lengyel Institute for Holocaust Studies and Human Rights. This year the Ukrainian language edition of the “Learning from the Past – Acting for the Future” handbook for teachers,
authored by Oana Nestian-Sandu, has seen its light.

Now over a hundred Ukrainian alumni of our common seminar-school - and many other interested educators - will be able to learn about key methodological principles of TOLI and try out a collection of ready-made lesson plans for various age groups. The interdisciplinary approach proposed in this handbook combines the approaches and methods of Holocaust education, human rights education and intercultural education, with the aim to guide students to learn about the past, understand the way in which the past is connected with the present and contribute to the development of democratic and intercultural societies in which every individual can live a life of dignity.

The Ukrainian edition is available at the link below.
