The I.B. Medvinsky Annual Competition of Students' Research and Art Works "History and Lessons of the Holocaust", the XIV round of Annual Competition of Students' Research and Art Works

On 16-18 May 2014 Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies under the support of Euro-Asian Jewish Congress held its annual competition of students’ research and art works “History and Lessons of the Holocaust”. The competition drew attention of over 80 students of secondary educational establishments from 16 regions of our country. Next to traditional sections on the fate of Ukrainian Jews during WWII, for the second year in a row the competition could single out a special section dealing with the genocide of Roma in Ukraine. Feedback about the competition can be read in Ukrainian and Russian in the Bulletin of UCHS.

    The YouTube channel "10 Questions to a Historian" featured an interview about the history of the Auschwitz death camp, which has become an undisputed symbol of Nazi crimes in World War II. This is the story of how some people (including educated and seemingly mentally healthy people) killed other people on a scale and systematic basis that had never been seen before.
