Educational Course “Genocide of Jews in Europe: Perspectives and Approaches”. Start-up Seminar in Kyiv.

On 27-29 May Kyiv hosted an introductory seminar for educational course “Genocide of Jews in Europe: Perspectives and Approaches”. The course is held by Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies in association with the Museum and Memorial “House of the Wannsee Conference” and under the support of the German Embassy in Ukraine.
The participants of the course could get to know each other, present their research, take part in discussions and hear lectures by established professionals. In the end of the day they also had a possibility to view and discuss a film “Farewell, Mr. Schwartz” by Yael Reuveni (Israel/Germany).
The programme presupposed visits to memorial places in Kyiv, among them the Memorial Complex “Bykivnya Graves”, National Reserve “Babyn Yar” and the Museum of History of Ukraine in WWII.
Currently the distance learning session has commenced. In August the participants will be welcomed in Berlin by the Museum and Memorial “House of the Wannsee Conference” at the final stage of their learning course.
