Research-Methodical Seminar "History of the Holocaust on the territories of Western Ukraine and Poland"
Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies in cooperation with Belzec Memorial Museum and Majdanek National Museum (Poland) and under the support of American Jewish Committee and Claims Conference are holding on 14-20 August 2010 a research-methodical seminar for Ukrainian secondary school teachers of history and humanities "History of the Holocaust on the territories of Western Ukraine and Poland".
The seminar consists of lectures and discussions accompanied with visits to memorial sites of the Holocaust in Western Ukraine and Eastern Poland. Its main focus lies in history and culture of Polish and West-Ukrainian Jewish communities before and during WWII.
The seminar will start in Lviv (Ukraine) and proceed to Lubin, Krakow (Poland).

From October 28 to November 1 in 2021, the five-day seminar-school “Learning from the Past -Acting for the Future” took place in Pushcha-Vodytsia. Twenty-five educators from all around Ukraine participated in the program. The seminar-school aims to improve the level of learning about the history of the Holocaust and human rights in Ukraine. It provides an opportunity to combine Ukrainian and international experience in teaching these topics and the relevance of historical events in the present.[More]
On 30th September 2021, the first „stumbling stone” was installed on the sidewalk of Frolovska street, 3 in Kyiv. This first small memorial plaque made of brass honors Liudmyla Tkach who was lucky enough to survive the crimes of Babyn Yar as a five-year-old child.[More]
