Webinar “Remembrance of the Holocaust in wartime”

insidethegatesFor almost 80 years, traditional forms and methods of honouring the victims of the Holocaust have been formed. One of the key narratives: “to study the history of the Holocaust in order to prevent it from happening again” has been formed as well. The war and the subsequent full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine have changed the context of the narrative about genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity.

  •  So what challenges did Ukrainian society have to face?
  •  How are the trends of commemorating the Holocaust victims changing?
  •  Why is responsible commemoration more important than ever?
  •  How can you incorporate the 2022-2023 invasion experience into your lessons and projects?

The webinar will take place within the framework of the “Young people reflect about Holocaust and Second World War” project, which we are conducting jointly with Kyiv educational center “Tolerspace” with the support of the EVZ Foundation.
